Lafayette Do-Si-Do's Into Summer
City of Lafayette and Chamber of Commerce puts on second Dancing in the Plaza event
The turned into a dance floor Friday night, as community members took part in the Dancing in the Plaza square dancing event.
People of all ages came out to do the do-si-do, despite the chilly weather.
“I think it’s fun to see a wide range of ages and families out here,” said Angela Falk, Acalanes student. “It’s a fun was to spend a night in the summer.”

Eric Henerlau, a well-known square dance caller, led the evening and participants seemed to be having a great time.
“I had a fabulous time, it’s so much fun, very energizing,” said Ellen Beans, Moraga resident.

Acalanes student Lauren Riebs said it was great to have something new to do on a Friday night.
The Dancing in the Plaza event is part of the put on by the City of Lafayette and the Lafayette Chamber of Commerce. June is dancing in the Plaza month; next Friday is 70’s Disco night. The Summer Series will continue with movies in the Plaza in July and rock concerts each Friday night in August.
