Lamorinda Celebrates the Fourth
Parades, cute kids, antique cars - and lots of American flags. It's shaping up to be a rocking Fourth of July in Lamorinda.
Temperatures are climbing and so are the crowd estimates as Lamorindans turn out to start their Fourth of July celebration with a parade or two.
Early reports are that ice cream is the big seller, so far, and that the Farmers' Market is doing a land office business with fresh eggs and produce selling briskly as locals plan their breakfasts, and afternoon barbecuses, at home. Everyone seems to be having a ball. It's a red, white, and blue color scheme in Lamorinda today.
James and Early Buell of Orinda drove in to see the antique cars on display in Moraga and were struck by the number of people out and about and enjoying the day.

"One of our favorite Holidays," James said. "It's fun to fly the flag a little and celebrate our country. People are being super nice and good to each other. We're having a great time."
Orinda kicked off the day with its traditional parade and pancake breakfasts and Moraga followed suit, gearing up for its annual fireworks finale tonight. What are you guys doing today? Send in a photo of the family and we'll post it for all to see!
