Lunar New Year Lion Dance Planned in Lamorinda

LAMORINDA, CA — The Chinese Lunar New Year is coming up on Saturday, Jan. 28. You'll have the chance to enjoy one of the most colorful celebrations surrounding the holiday - a Lion Dance.
It will be held a week before the Lunar New Year, on Jan. 21.
The free event will take place from 3 - 3:45 p.m. at the Orinda Library. Family members of all ages are encourage to attend.

According to a written statement from the library, "Remember to come on time, because the lion dance is fairly short, but they'll be lots of opportunity to meet the lions and take pictures."
The Lion Dance will be performed by the Concord Kung Fu Academy.
