
SAN FRANCISCO, CA, November 4, 2013 – Union Bank, N.A. today announced that Matthew Townsend has joined its Retail Consumer Lending team as a senior mortgage consultant in the East Bay. Based in Union Bank’s Orinda and Moraga branches, Townsend is responsible for assisting clients with their home mortgage needs in the East Bay area. Union Bank’s Consumer Lending group originates residential mortgage options to answer a variety of financing needs. Townsend reports to Vice President and Regional Sales Manager Susan McLaughlin.

Before joining Union Bank, Townsend served as a senior mortgage loan officer with Bank of America. Active in the community, he volunteers with Habitat for Humanity and local Little League and soccer teams. Townsend holds a bachelor’s degree from Sacramento State University.
