Mike Anderson Is New Mayor of Lafayette
At Monday night reorganization meeting, Don Tatzin is elected vice mayor; as mayor, Anderson succeeds Carol Federighi, who did not seek re-election last month.

Mike Anderson was unanimously elected mayor of Lafayette by his fellow council members at a Monday night meeting.
Anderson, elected to the Lafayette City Council in 2004, also served as mayor in 2008. He is assistant general manager for planning/stewardship and development for the East Bay Regional Park District. As mayor, he succeeds the retiring Carol Federighi.
Also at Monday's reorganization meeting, Don Tatzin was elected vice mayor.

Three council members who were top vote-getters a month ago were sworn in:
- Newcomer Traci Reilly.
- Newcomer Mark Mitchell.
- Incumbent Mike Anderson.
