Moraga Man Among Trio Arrested For Theft Of Kayak In Benicia
A citizen called police Tuesday to report a neighbor's kayak was being loaded onto a vehicle.

Police on Tuesday arrested three people in connection with the theft of a kayak in Benicia.
Robert Correa, 27, of Hayward, Thomas Gorrell, 36, of Moraga, and Betty Boyd, 45, of Napa, were arrested on suspicion of possession of the stolen kayak, conspiring to steal it and for probation violations for various crimes, police said.
Officers responded at 7:58 p.m. Tuesday to the 1100 block of West K Street after a resident reported someone was possibly stealing a neighbor’s kayak. The neighbor told police the suspects had taken the kayak and were loading onto a vehicle.

Responding officers located four people around the vehicle with a kayak and arrested Correa, Gorrell and Boyd, police said.
Police said some of the suspects arrested might also have been involved in a residential burglary in the area on Monday.
