Moraga-Orinda Firefighters Raise $14,500 For Muscular Dystrophy
They held fill-the-boot campaigns in both communities.
LAMORINDA, CA — Moraga- Orinda Firefighters gathering donations for the Fill-the-Boot campaign raised over $14,500 for the Muscular Dystrophy Association this year. Money was raised in both commuities.
The MDA fights neurodegenerative diseases and holds an annual telethon which, for years, was hosted by Jerry Lewis.
In fact, local firefighters say the International Association of Fire Fighters has been the leading contributor to the MDA.
