LAMORINDA, CA — A leadership opening at a long-standing public safety nonprofit is asking local residents to shape how lifesaving services evolve in their community.

The Rescue 1 Foundation extended the deadline for applications to fill an upcoming vacancy on its board of directors following a retirement, launching a search for a new member to help steer the organization’s next chapter.

The mission of the Foundation is to receive and administer donations in order to enhance public safety by providing advanced medical equipment, supplies, and educational services to the community.
