Moraga PD: A Little Vocal Road Rage

Jimmied to no avail. Reported at 2:26 p.m., a Woodside Drive resident reported to Moraga police a side door into the garage jimmied" but apparently no one got in nor was anything taken.

Road vocal rage. At 6:47 p.m., one motorist was traveling eastbound on Rheem Boulevard when she apparently upset another motorist making a left onto Rheem from Zander Drive, Orinda. The first motorist said the other motorist re-routed to follow her more than a mile to the Rheem Shopping Center and then yelled at her to slow down.

April 8 
Easy on the gas pedal. At 7:48 a.m., one vehicle accelerated away from a green light at Moraga Way and St. Andrews Drive faster than the vehicle in front, causing a non-injury, rear-end collision. Officers facilitated the drivers exchanging insurance information. Public Works cleaned up leaked fluids and broken glass in the road.

Suspicious license plates. At 9:35 a.m. on Canyon Road, a resident was concerned about a 12-month-old baby left unattended in a blue Volvo station wagon in a parking lot. A woman came back and told the resident that the baby was sleeping in the car and was fine. The resident relayed the license number to officers, who determined that license plate belonged to someone else, an owner with school-aged children and a white Volvo sedan. Police are investigating.

April 9
Towed car. At 8:41 a.m., a Campolindo Drive resident reported a car parked illegally blocking his driveway. The resident told officers that Campolindo students often park illegally there. Officers were unable to locate a phone number for the registered owner. The car was towed, and police mailed a notice to the owner.
