LAMORINDA, CA — Moraga Road is now open between Rheem Boulevard and Lucas Drive after being closed for several hours for an investigation into a fatal auto-bicycle collision, Moraga police said Friday.
Police responded to the site of the collision on Moraga Road near Lucas Drive around 10:15 a.m. Friday. Paramedics worked to save a person who was severely injured in the collision, but were unable to save the individual, who was pronounced dead at the scene, according to police.
Everyone involved in the collision is an adult, police said.

Police will not identify the person who died until their family can be notified.
