
MORAGA, CA — Police are asking for the public’s help identifying a man who robbed the Moraga Safeway on Jan. 18. Just before 8 p.m., the masked suspect, who was armed with a gun, walked into the store and demanded money, according to police. The suspect fled the store with an undisclosed amount of money taken from a cash register.
He left in a silver car, which was waiting outside the store and was last seen driving on Moraga Way toward Orinda. The suspect is described as a man in his 20s. He was wearing a black ski mask and sweatshirt and dark-colored pants.
Police said no one was injured during the robbery. Anyone with information about the case is asked to call Detective Kevin Mooney at 925-888-7056.
