Moraga's Canyon Road Bridge Set For Construction-Related Closures

The closures will take place from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Sept 7-10 and Sept. 13, ensuring the safety of citizens and the construction team.

MORAGA, CA —The Moraga Police Department has announced that the Canyon Road Bridge will be closed for construction during portions of five days in the upcoming weeks.

According to a release, the bridge will be closed to all traffic from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Sept. 7 through Sept. 10, and again from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Sept. 13.

The closures will take place while the contractor is removing falsework and the creek diversion and installing the rock slope protection under the bridge, Moraga officials said. According to those officials, the bridge construction project is moving into the final stage.

The closure of the bridge will ensure safety of the community and the construction team during these operations, officials said.
