Oakland To London/Gatwick Nonstop Air Service Begins On Norwegian Air
Oakland International Airport begins hosting flights to London's Gatwick Airport starting Thursday via Norwegian Air.

OAKLAND - Oakland International Airport begins hosting flights to London's Gatwick Airport starting Thursday via Norwegian Air, according to airport officials.
Norwegian is offering flights three times a week from Oakland, the airport's first nonstop flights to the United Kingdom and the only nonstop flight to Gatwick from the Bay Area.
The new flights mean air travelers will no longer have to rely on SFO as their only Bay Area airport where a nonstop flight to London can be booked.

Last week, British Airways began nonstop service from Mineta San Jose to London's Heathrow airport.
Norwegian Air will depart Oakland for Gatwick on Sundays, Mondays and Thursdays, according to their website.
