Artist Reception March 28, 6-8PM
LAFAYETTE, CA (March 2015) – Jennifer Perlmutter Gallery, a new contemporary art gallery in Lafayette, CA, is pleased to present a solo exhibit of Bay Area artist, Lin Fischer “Landscapes and Figures”. The exhibit opens March 28 and runs through April 25, with an artist’s reception on March 28, 6-8PM.

Fischer’s bold brush work and rich palette are her hallmark style. The surface is deep and textured. Lin has taught all around the region and brings her love of the Bay Area Figurative movement to the canvas. She will be giving an artist talk on April 9th at 6:30PM.
Born in Healdsburg, CA, Lin Fischer is a third generation northern Californian. Growing up in Sacramento was pleasant until she discovered the Bay Area, which immediately attracted her. Lin’s BFA in painting was earned at the University of California, Davis, where Wayne Thiebaud was head of the fine arts department. Roland Peterson was also one of the influential instructors at the University. The MFA came later from the Academy of Art College in San Francisco where, after graduating, Lin taught painting to Masters candidates, and Design and Color to undergraduates. Other teaching included Experimental Figure Painting at the California College of the Arts in Oakland, at additional venues in the East Bay and Contra Costa County, and with private students in her studio.
Lin Fischer currently lives in Berkeley, California. She has shown her work in the San Francisco Bay area and across the nation.
Opening reception March 28, 6PM-8PM. Artist Talk, Thursday April 9th, 6:30PM. The exhibit will be open to the public Tuesday-Saturday, 11:00AM-5:00PM and by appointment, at Jennifer Perlmutter Gallery, 3620 Mt. Diablo Blvd., Lafayette, CA 94549.
