Though we certainly cannot replace the instruction teachers provide to your child(ren), we are committed to providing them with the support and guidance needed to navigate this innovative time of distance learning.
We are dedicated to providing Distance Learning Support and Enrichment in 3-week sessions. As was the case with our summer camps, Parks and Rec will commit to providing programming that meets or exceeds the latest county and CDC health and safety guidelines and protocol.

The first session will begin August 17, and second session will begin September 8, 2020.
At this point in time we’re excited to announce that we will continue our collaboration with Skyhawks Sports Academy beginning Monday, August 17, 2020. Skyhawks Orinda School & Sports Club will offer interactive childcare and distance learning support to kids grades K-5th. Children will be divided into stable groups of 12-kids based on grade and school after registration.
Although Session I is limited to 36 students, Session II, and beyond, will provide at least 72 available spots. In addition, separate afternoon-only enrichment programs will be offered, beginning in Session II. More information about this will be coming within the next few weeks.
For those that requested to stay informed about Distance Learning Support at the conclusion of the Distance Learning Support Survey, Orinda Parks and Rec distributed information electronically on Thursday, August 6. If you have not done so already, please look for our email in your inbox. Program details, general program information, and registration information were included.
Due to the limited number of spaces available, Orinda Parks and Recreation offered priority registration to Orinda Residents who are considered Essential Workers, or Single Parent / Single Income households. For the any Orinda residents that remain who wish to register, you may do so online Wednesday, August 12 at 8:00 a.m. Any non-residents who wish to register may do so Thursday, August 13 at 8:00 a.m.
