Keeping the latest Health Orders from Contra Costa County (CCC), and recommendations from the State and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) at the forefront of our minds, we’re sad to say that we will not be publishing a Fall / Winter Activity Guide this year. For those interested in the status of classes / programs that typically occurred during this time, please review the following list below for more information:
- Special Events: the Halloween Tot Parade and Annual Holiday Bazaar are cancelled.
- OYS Fall Soccer: the typical Fall Soccer program is cancelled. We are considering creating an alternative program and will be requesting the community to weigh in on this topic through another survey. More information on this topic will be coming soon.
- In-person Youth classes and programs: we’re in the process of developing programming substitutions that would meet the County’s Health guidelines and support distance learning efforts. More information about this will be coming soon.
- In-person Adult classes and programs: any in-person adult programming offered through the Orinda Parks and Recreation Department is cancelled at this time. In the event we’re able to start scheduling out-door, in-person adult programs, we will communicate that information to the community.
If you have any questions or need assistance in accessing any of the communication methods listed above, please email us at OrindaParksandRec@CityofOrinda.org.
