Plans For Major Cancer Support Community Center In Lamorinda

LAMORINDA, CA —A two-story Lafayette center that will provide free services to cancer patients and their loved ones near the Lafayette Reservoir is moving ahead.

The approved projectoccupies 5.75 acres at 3939 Mt. Diablo Road, just west of the reservoir entrance.

The building will cover 12,009 square feet and rise 29 feet, 7 inches, according to documents.

Plans for the Bay Area Cancer Support Community project include 50 car spaces and six bicycle spaces.

Construction crews scheduled framing for summer 2026. The project calls for completion in winter 2026, followed by a ribbon-cutting ceremony in January or February 2027.
