Man Killed In Pleasant Hill Shooting Near Lafayette Border
Taylor Boulevard was closed for several hours following the shooting.
PLEASANT HILL, CA — Authorities responding Wednesday afternoon to reports of a shooting near Lafayette found bystanders trying to revive someone who had been shot.
Shortly after 1 p.m., Contra Costa County Sheriff's deputies were sent to the area of Taylor Boulevard and Gloria Terrace.
The male victim was on the ground and people there were providing lifesaving measures but he died at the scene, according to the sheriff's office.

The victim's name was not released and no other information was provided about the shooting. No arrests have been made, the sheriff's office said.
Taylor was closed for the investigation but reopened shortly before 6 p.m. in both directions between Withers Avenue and Grayson Road.
