Crash Brings Traffic To Standstill: Be Prepared

CONTRA COSTA, CA — Commuters are facing a tough morning on the roads with back-ups on two major roadways and should opt for alternative routes if possible, according to CHP.

Traffic is still backed up at the CA-24-I-680 interchange.

CHP also issued a severe traffic alert after a crash and overturned vehicle on westbound CA-24 east of Acalanes Road.

CHP reported the injury accident shortly before 8 a.m.

The right lanes are blocked and drivers should expect delays.
