Reliez Station Road Reopens In Lamorinda After 2 Crashes: Police

LAFAYETTE, CA — Reliez Station Road reopened Monday morning following two car accidents, police said.

Around 8:20 a.m., the Lafayette Police Department issued a traffic alert about the road closure. Reliez Station was closed between Richelle Court and Olympic Boulevard because of the crashes, police said.

Motorists were encouraged to use alternate routes and expect an extended road closure.

About 30 minutes later, however, the police department announced the road closure was lifted and Reliez Station Road was open in both directions.

There was no immediate word on whether anyone was injured in the collisions.
