Residential Burglary Suspect Arrested
Lafayette and Moraga police worked together to capture the suspect.

LAMORINDA, CA — Police officers arrested a suspect Friday morning in Moraga who is believed to be involved in a recent spate of residential burglaries.
According to the Moraga Police Department, around 1 a.m., the burglary suspect was seen driving into Moraga. Through coordinated efforts between Moraga and Lafayette police officers, the suspect was stopped and arrested.
Police believe the arrest prevented local residents from being victimized by the suspect.

The arrest comes after several recent residential burglaries in the Lafayette, Moraga and Orinda.
Four burglaries occurred in Orinda last week, and three burglaries occurred in Lafayette Tuesday night while the residents were home. There were also a number of thefts from unlocked vehicles in the area the same night, police said.

Although one suspect was arrested, police said there are others currently at large.
