Reutlinger Community for Jewish Living Hosts Sunday Cooking Lesson and Dinner

Reservations are a must for the Feb. 8 event featuring acclaimed chef Frances Wilson.

The community is invited to attend a cooking lesson and dinner by Chef and Culinary Educator Frances Wilson at The Reutlinger Community for Jewish Living, Sunday, February 8 as part of its 2015 Guest Chef Series. The presentation will begin at 3:30 with dinner served at 5PM.

The Reutlinger 2015 Guest Chef Series, under the direction of renowned professional chef Alison Negrin (Chez Panisse, Mesa, Ginger Island, Poulet and Bridges) invites the community to attend its guest chef dinner series. They will be held on the secondSunday of each month (subject to change). The first, on February 8, will be conducted by Chef and Culinary Educator Frances Wilson. Guests and residents will hear Chef Frances discuss the meal she and The Reutlinger’s staff will be preparing for them to feast on that evening, tell stories, and answer questions.

About Frances Wilson:

Chef Frances Wilson can’t remember a time when her life did not revolve around food! She started cooking as child with her mother in her native Ireland.

She trained both as a Home Economics teacher and as a chef. Her career has included stints teaching high school in Dublin, being the chef of the critically acclaimed Lalime’s restaurant in Berkeley and four years as Culinary Director at Château Routas in Provence, France, where she was responsible for catering to guests staying at the chateau and teaching cooking classes.

Most recently Frances taught the Professional Culinary program at Tante Marie’s Cooking School. She is passionate about building connections between farmers and cooks.
