Runners Can Help Lafayette Schools Win Extra $500
The Lafayette Res Run for Education offers three schools additional donations through its registration competition.
LAMORINDA, CA — A Lafayette school could earn an extra $500 if it leads registration for the Res Run for Education by Wednesday.
The event’s Race-Before-the-Race competition offers two more $500 donations: one to the school with the most registrations by race day and another to the school with the largest increase over last year’s registrations.
The Lafayette Chamber of Commerce and the City of Lafayette co-sponsor the run, set for Sunday, Oct. 18, in Lafayette.

The 5K starts at 8 a.m., the 10K at 8:15 a.m., and the 2-mile fun run at 8:45 a.m. Participants can also take part in the virtual Reservoir Challenge from Oct. 11 through Oct. 17.
Last year’s 32nd annual run drew nearly 2,200 runners and raised $37,611 for beneficiary checks supporting local public schools.
