At Saint Mary's College: An Interview with Women in Federal Public Service

The Saint Mary’s College Women’s Leadership Network and the Office of the Provost proudly present An Interview with Women in Federal Public Service on Wednesday, March 4, from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m.

The event, which is free and open to the public, features representatives from the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation, Federal Reserve Bank of San Francisco, U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission and United States District Court for the Northern District of California.

5:30 to 6:30 p.m. | Panel Discussion

6:30 to 7:30 p.m. | Networking Reception

The distinguished panelists will discuss the career paths that led to their current positions, share their personal experiences as women in federal public service and share some of the challenges faced and lessons learned throughout their journeys.

Moderated by Saint Mary’s College Provost Bethami Dobkin, the Women in Federal Public Service panel includes:

• Tracy Basinger, Group Vice President, Division of Banking Supervision & Regulation, Federal Reserve Bank of San Francisco
• Jina Choi, Regional Director, U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission’s San Francisco Regional Office
• Kathy Moe, Risk Management Deputy Regional Director, San Francisco Region of the FDIC
• Kandis Westmore, Magistrate Judge, U.S. District Court, Northern District of California

Audience members, especially Saint Mary’s alumnae, are encouraged to learn more about career paths they have not yet considered and gain advice useful to women in different stages of their careers. Representatives from each federal agency will be available after the panel to discuss employment opportunities and answer questions.
