School Board Hires Consultant For Superintendent Search
The superintendent will stay through June.
LAMORINDA, CA — The Lafayette School District's governing board has hired a consultant to help in the search for a new superintendent, after Richard Whitmore announced in November he would no longer fill the role after his contract ends in June.
Leadership Associates will help the district find Whitmore's replacement. The consulting firm will host a virtual community input forum at 5:30 p.m. Tuesday to hear from the public what it wants in a new schools chief. Comments will help the consultant develop a candidate profile and will be shared with the school board before it hires someone.
Beginning Jan. 10, the community can also give input on a community survey.
