VIDEO: Friday Night Lightning for Dons; Campo Wins - Miramonte Waits To Finish With Kennedy
Mother Nature put on an aerial display of her own Friday that briefly halted the Acalanes/Skyline game and stopped the Miramonte/Kennedy game in its tracks. Campo made it 2-0.
Both Campolindo and Acalanes chalked up wins against opponents who came to play Friday. Miramonte is waiting for Monday's game with Kennedy High to see if all three Lamorinda teams remain perfect so far this season.
Exciting see-saw battle between the Dons and Skyline Friday, with Acalanes feeding their backs the ball and coming through with a running game - and two key turnovers - that carried the day for them. Senior Austin DeBack set the tone for the running game to come with an opening game kickoff return that brought the crowd to its feet (see video).
The Dons ended up with a 28-21 win after a lightning delay forced the game to a halt and Mother Nature put on a halftime show of her own.
