Volunteers Needed For County Census Committee
Applications are due next week. Residents of diverse communities are encouraged to apply.

CONTRA COSTA COUNTY, CA — Volunteers are being sought to serve as census ambassadors to help with Contra Costa County's Census 2020 count steering committee.
The county Board of Supervisors created the committee last month to help ensure a complete and accurate count of the community during the upcoming census.
Members of the committee should represent the diversity of the county, especially hard-to-count populations such as immigrants, households living in poverty, veterans and households with limited English proficiency, according to county spokeswoman Susan Shiu.

Applications can be found by calling (925) 335-1900 or visiting the county's web page.
Applications are due by close of business at 5 p.m. on Jan. 23.
