LAFAYETTE, CA — A 24-year-old Antioch woman died after a collision on state Highway 24 in Lafayette this morning, California Highway Patrol officers said.

The victim was driving her Nissan Altima west on the highway just west of Acalanes Road when she reportedly experienced a medical episode and veered to the right, out of her lane, into the left side of a Nissan truck, according to the CHP.

Her Altima then drifted back to the left, into the median strip, where it came to rest, CHP officers said.
