• LA Metro awards ENC $337 million contract for 220 electric buses (sustainable-bus.com) — LA Metro has approved a $337.7 million purchase of 220 electric buses, a move that could have implications for Lancaster's transit manufacturing sector since a competing bidder proposed building vehicles at its Lancaster facility. The winning company, ENC, will produce buses in Riverside, but the contract includes options for up to 1,600 more buses that other local operators could tap into.
