Novato Police Arrest 2 for Corte Madera Robbery
The following information was supplied by the Twin Cities Police Authority and the Novato Police Department. Arrests do not indicate a conviction.
Two people were arrested earlier this week after robbing and threatening a man inside his Corte Madera home.
The man reported to the Twin Cities Police Authority he was accused of stealing drugs by a woman he identified as Laurie Myers of Novato. He said Myers and another subject, only described as a white male wearing camouflage pants, entered the man’s home on Meadowsweet Drive around 4 a.m. The two said they would harm him if they didn’t receive money for the drugs they claimed had been taken, the man told police.
The man was robbed of an undisclosed amount of cash. No weapons were involved, however intimidations and threats were made, according to police.

The man told officers Myers and the male subject were due to return to the residence at a specified time for more money. Police units stood by in the area but the subjects did not return.
Twin Cities officers contacted the Novato Police Department about the investigation because Myers is a Novato resident. According to Det. Michael Mejia of Twin Cities PD, the description of the unidentified male was provided to Novato PD, who said they had recently arrested a John Houston Eipp on a separate matter .

Eipp just happened to be wearing camouflage pants. Eipp was subsequently identified in a photo line up.
The other incident involving Eipp occurred in Novato Tuesday evening at a 7-11 store. Eipp was wanted on numerous warrants. Novato PD detectives contacted him at the store in the 800 block of Diablo Avenue. Once he learned that he would be arrested he began to struggle with the officers. After a short struggle he was taken into custody and treated at a local hospital for minor injuries.
Eipp was then booked into Marin County Jail on charges of petty theft with a prior jail term, receiving stolen property, burglary, possession of a controlled substance, possession of controlled substance paraphernalia, obstructing and resisting a peace officer, possession of dangerous drugs without a prescription, and possession of controlled substance paraphernalia.
Myers also came into Twin Cities custody via Novato PD. The Booking Log for the Marin County Sheriff’s Office shows the arresting location as the Novato Police Department on Machin Avenue.
Myers apparently went to Novato PD on other matters, but through contact from Twin Cities police, the Novato officers arrested her. She now faces charges of burglary, threatening to terrorize, conspiracy, receiving and possessing a stolen vehicle, driving with a suspended license, failing to provide proof of financial responsibility, and unlawful use of a license.
The incidents are under continuing investigations.
