Rock The Village On Sunday
Young Performers International bring music to the Corte Madera shopping center the next two Sundays.
On Sunday, June 3 at 2 pm, Young Performers International (YPI) brings its Jazz/Rock Band, The Incendiary Lemons, (ages 10 and 11), it's World Music Performance and Games Ensemble (ages 6-8), and The YPI Soloists (ages 7-12) to The Village in Corte Madera. Music ranges from Golden Oldies to current pop favorites to original inspirational rap, as well as thrilling World Music, all accompanied by the students themselves on piano, guitar, bass guitar, drums and other hand percussion instruments from around the world.
On Sunday, June 10 from 2-4 at the Village in Corte Madera, YPI will offer MUSIC FOR THE FUN OF IT, a FREE interactive music experience that includes instrument-making from recycled materials, karaoke, music composition with big blocks, and tons of fun music games for children ages 2 to 92 . Led by well-known Bay Area music educator Leela Pratt along with the YPI interns and students themselves, this event will be sure to engage and inspire. Don't miss it!
Young Performers International (YPI) is a non-profit children's performing arts company based in Belvedere. We offer classes in Jazz/Rock Band and World Music Performance and Games, as well as individual instruction in voice, piano, guitar, bass guitar, drums and other instruments. Financial aid is available to all talented young musicians who need it.
