1 of 2 Motorcycle Riders Dies Sunday in Nearby Traffic Crash That Ended Police Chase
Authorities said a police chase ended Sunday with one of the two people on a motorcycle killed in a traffic crash.
NATIONAL CITY - A police chase ended with one of the two people on a motorcycle killed in a traffic crash on Plaza Boulevard near Interstate 805 Sunday.
Plaza Boulevard was closed east of Interstate 805 and San Diego and National City police investigated.
San Diego police said their officers attempted to pull the motorcycle over for a traffic violation at about 9:30 a.m. at an undisclosed area of San Diego.

SDPD Officer Dino Delimitro said the pursuit ended near the intersection of East Plaza Boulevard and Euclid Avenue in National City, with one of the riders suffering fatal injuries.
The nature of the injuries sustained by the other person on the motorcycle were not disclosed.

No other injuries were reported and no names were released.
National City police asked drivers to avoid Plaza Boulevard east of the 805 Freeway through about 1 p.m.
