LEMON GROVE, CA — Lemon Grove residents planning to visit county government offices or public health facilities should prepare for closures Wednesday, Nov. 11, as San Diego County observes Veterans Day.
The county announced that government offices, family resource centers, county-operated libraries, public health centers and animal shelters will close for the holiday.
The closures will affect in-person county services, including assistance provided through family resource centers and public health offices.
Residents who need help with county-administered programs or have appointments scheduled around the holiday are encouraged to check with the appropriate office before visiting.
County parks and campgrounds will remain open during regular operating hours, although some recreation and community center offices will be closed.
Essential services, including law enforcement and emergency animal control response, will continue throughout Veterans Day.
Normal county government operations are expected to resume Thursday, Nov. 12.
The federal holiday is observed annually Nov. 11 to honor military veterans who have served in the U.S. armed forces.
