Armed Robber Injures 7-Eleven Clerk In Nearby Spring Valley: Report

BREAKING: The employee was reportedly pistol-whipped during the early morning incident.

SPRING VALLEY, CA – An employee at a 7-Eleven store in Spring Valley was injured during an armed robbery early today.

The hold-up at the convenience store at the corner of Jamacha Boulevard and Grand Avenue was reported around 3 a.m., according to the San Diego County Sheriff's Department.

The suspect fired off a couple gunshots and pistol-whipped a clerk before fleeing with an unknown amount of cash and various items from the store, according to NBC7.

Earlier this morning in Egger Highlands, a masked man held up a 7-Eleven store at gunpoint.

The suspect walked into the convenience store at the corner of Palm Avenue and Saturn Boulevard and made a demand around 12:45 a.m., according to San Diego police. He fled with an undetermined amount of cash and various merchandise.

"The victim did as the suspect asked and was not injured," police said.

Police described the robber as about 5 feet 7 and wearing dark clothing.
