Kathleen Strzelecki, the brilliant portraitist who most recently completed the epic Lemon Grove History Mural, will be present for an "Art Talk" moderated by Helen Ofield. Strzelecki's solo show, "An American Family," on view in the library through Jan. 30, reveals her extraordinary ability to go below the surface and capture personalities and characters with affection, emotion and insight. The "Art Talk" will focus on her technical and artistic approach to portraiture and preference for working in large formats. Refreshments will be served.
