Authorities Search for Robber Who Used 'Bloody' Mask

A gunman wearing a "bloody" Halloween mask robbed a 7- Eleven in La Mesa early today, police said.

The robbery at 5746 Amaya Drive was reported at 4:33 a.m., according to La Mesa police.

The robber carried a handgun and pepper spray, police said, adding he has a slender build, stands about 5-feet-8 and was last seen wearing a "bloody" Halloween mask, blue sweatshirt and blue jeans.
