Lemon Grove Forward Club Launches 5th Annual “Socktober” Homeless Outreach Drive
LEMON GROVE, CA — September 30, 2026 — The Lemon Grove Forward Club is launching its 5th Annual Socktober Drive, a community effort to collect new socks and new underwear for local nonprofit organizations serving people experiencing homelessness throughout Lemon Grove and East County.
Socks and underwear are among the most-needed items for individuals experiencing homelessness, particularly during the colder months. The club is seeking new socks and new underwear in all sizes, with men’s items especially needed.
Community members can participate by purchasing items through the club’s Amazon Wish list or by donating new socks and underwear directly to the drive. For those who would prefer to donate directly, donation pickup can be arranged by emailing lemongrovewomensclub@gmail.com.
All donated items will be distributed to local nonprofit outreach organizations serving Lemon Grove and East County.
Donations will be accepted through November 30, 2026.
Together, we can support our neighbors with basic necessities, dignity and warmth—one pair at a time.
