Do you want to be part of history? Thousands of swimmers all over the country will attempt to break a Guinness World Record. East County YMCA will be an official location for the The World’s Largest Swimming Lesson. Locations include Cameron Family YMCA in Santee, John A. Davis Family YMCA in La Mesa, and McGrath Family YMCA in Spring Valley. Parents and kids are invited to participate in a 45 minute basic swimming lesson. Swimmers will receive a certificate recording their place in the World Records. The record breaking event will be at 8:30 a.m. on Tuesday, June 18. The cost is $5 per swimmer and East County Family YMCA family members are free. For more info, visit eastcounty.ymca.org.
