Female Trio Attack Man with Baseball Bat, Shoot at Him in Violent Brawl: Police

One of the women lives in Lemon Grove. Tamera Gibson, 36, was booked on suspicion of attempted murder.

MORENO VALLEY, CA – Three women are in custody for allegedly assaulting a man with a baseball bat in Moreno Valley and firing two shots at him, a sheriff's sergeant said Tuesday.

The victim, a 26-year-old man, was exiting his vehicle when he was attacked by the women, said Sgt. Brandi Swan of the Riverside County Sheriff's Department.

"One female suspect assaulted him with a baseball bat, one female suspect approached with a handgun, while the third suspect pointed the handgun at him," Swan said. "A struggle ensued and one of the suspects fired two rounds at the victim, narrowly missing him."

Officers from the Moreno Valley Police Department were dispatched at 8:50 p.m. Monday to the scene in the 22000 block of Adrienne Avenue regarding reports of a shooting and recovered a handgun at the location, she said.

The victim was taken to an area hospital, where his condition was not immediately known.

Lemon Grove resident Tamera Gibson, 36, and Tonette Gibson of Hemet, 47, were arrested at the scene and booked on suspicion of attempted murder. They were being held in lieu of $100,000 bail each.

Hemet resident Sequoia Pratt, 27, was also arrested at the scene and was booked on suspicion of assault with a deadly weapon and violating a domestic violence restraining order.
