Fugitive Sex Offender Found In Lemon Grove
Rainier Raroque, 31, had failed to register as a sex offender, according to the San Diego County Sheriff's Department.
SAN DIEGO COUNTY, CA – A man wanted for failing to register as a sex offender has been arrested, according to the San Diego County Sheriff's Department. A sheriff's deputy recognized Rainier Raroque, 31, from a Crime Stoppers bulletin while patrolling the area of Palm Street in Lemon Grove just before 11 p.m. on Aug. 6.
Raroque, who was known to frequent Lemon Grove and La Mesa, had an outstanding warrant for failing to register as a sex offender, according to the sheriff's department. He had a previous conviction for sexual battery.
The deputy who found Raroque confirmed his outstanding warrant and then took him into custody without incident, according to officials. He was booked into San Diego Central Jail.
