Horses of Tir Na Nog Celebrates ASPCA's Help A Horse Day

Horses of Tir Na Nog, the oldest equine sanctuary in San Diego County, is competing for an opportunity to win one of five $10,000 grants from the American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals to help with efforts to protect horses from neglect and abuse. Please join us!

Simone, a buckskin mare, was rescued from certain death by County of San Diego Department of Animal Services on June 22, 2008. On Saturday, April 26, Help A Horse Day, Simone is returning to the shelter to thank the staff that saved her life. She will be available for community members to meet her, have their photo taken with her, and learn, not only about Simone's rescue story, but also about the many other horses rescued by Animal Services that now call Horses of Tir Na Nog home.

This event is free and open to the public. Community Members are asked to bring an item from the "If Horses Had Wishes" Wish List to help us fill our Wish List Barrel.
