I-8 Crash Leaves Victim With Serious Injuries

A two-vehicle crash on Interstate 8 in El Cajon this morning left a motorist with a broken leg and possible internal injuries.

The crash in the westbound lanes west of Main Street was reported shortly before 8 a.m., according to the California Highway Patrol and Heartland Fire & Rescue.

The injured person, who was not immediately identified, was taken to Sharp Memorial Hospital in Kearny Mesa, a fire dispatcher said.
