Lemon Grove Artist/Illustrator Roxburgh To Lead Workshops

Lemon Grove artist Ed Roxburgh will soon return to the Lemon Grove Library, this time to offer a series of evening workshops for teens, exploring different art materials and methods.

In November, 2013, the Lemon Grove Library held a show of Roxburgh’s oil paintings and his pencil-and-watercolor illustrations for Max and the Lowrider Car, a children’s book he illustrated using the pen name E. Felix Lyon. The book, published by Dayton Publishing, was launched in conjunction with the Library show.

Max is a wonderfully funny story, with truly charming illustrations,” says publisher Linnea Dayton, who, along with Roxburgh and the book’s author, Tonton Jim, attended the January 31 Author Reception for the 48th Annual Local Author Exhibit at the San Diego Central Library. The Exhibit continues through February.
