Lemon Grove Celebrates National Night Out Tuesday
The annual community-building event takes place 5-7 p.m. tonight at Main Street Promenade.
SANTEE, CA – Community members and law enforcement officers across the country, county and city of Lemon Grove, will celebrate National Night Out Tuesday night. The annual event promotes community-police partnerships, crime prevention and neighborhood camaraderie.
The San Diego County Sheriff’s Department is inviting the public to a dozen different events around the county.
In Lemon Grove, community members will have a chance to meet the sheriff's deputies who patrol the local neighborhoods, learn about the department's services, get crime prevention tips and participate in family-friendly activities. The event takes place from 5-7 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 1 at Main Street Promenade, located at 3443 Main St.

Created in 1984, National Night Out is an annual community-building campaign that promotes police-community partnerships and neighborhood camaraderie. Last year, more than 37.8 million people and 16,124 communities across the United States, Canada, U.S. territories and military bases participated in the event.
