The meeting will take place at the Roberto Alvarez Auditorium.
LEMON GROVE, CA — The Lemon Grove City Council will hold a public hearing Tuesday, Oct. 20, covering the proposed Downtown Specific Plan, related General Plan and zoning changes, and the city’s Community Development Block Grant funding for fiscal year 2027–28, according to the city.
The hearing is set for 6 p.m. at the Roberto Alvarez Auditorium, 3121 School Lane. City staff said the proposed CDBG allocation is $115,921, with all funds designated for the 2027–28 fiscal year.
Officials said the Downtown Specific Plan would guide future development in the city’s downtown area and require amendments to the General Plan, zoning ordinance and zoning map. Staff reports and the draft ordinance are available at City Hall and on the city’s website. Residents can speak at the hearing, and those unable to attend may submit written comments following instructions on the city's website.
