Lemon Grove School Board Salutes Teacher, Classified Employee of the Year

The Lemon Grove School Board recently recognized Janice Anderson as District Teacher of the Year
Superintendent Ernest Anastos saluted Anderson, who teaches at Lemon Grove Academy Elementary, saying that she βrepresents everything thatβs right about education,β accord to the board meeting highlights.
Anderson also was praised during the board meeting last week for her passion and dedication to students.Β The wife and mother of two will be honored at the Salute to Teachers in October.

The board also recognized Adele Casillas, a purchasing specialist, as the District Classified Employee of the Year, according to the highlights.
Casillas, who plans to retire in December, began working at the district in 1993 and has had several positions, officials said.Β

βMs. Casillas does her job so well and with a smile on her face,β officials wrote in the highlights.Β
Casillas attended Lemon Grove schools, as did her children.Β Her grandchildren now attend school in Lemon Grove as well.
Both Anderson and Casillas will be honored t the Employee Recognition Ceremony on June 6.
