Lemon Grove to Get International Market

Looks like one of Lemon Grove’s empty shops will be coming back to life soon.

Renovations are under way at the old Hollywood Video store at 7770 Broadway to make way for a new Lemon Grove International Market, city officials said.

It will be a market/deli type of place, according to city officials. There is currently no date for the opening. Some residents have already noticed the action inside, said Susan Garcia, Lemon Grove City Clerk.

She was sure the community would be somewhat glad to see a new business there, Garcia said.

“It’s been empty for a few years,” Garcia said. City officials have also had to deal with some graffiti since it became vacant, she said.
