OPINION: Assemblywoman Weber's New Office - Bad for Politics

A local resident disappointed that Assemblywoman Shirley Weber has set up her office outside of her own district.

Assemblywoman Shirley Weber represents a large district. The boundaries range from Mission Valley to San Carlos in the north, Otay Lake in the south and everywhere in between.

Many communities are found within the district, with many available areas for office space. Yet, Assemblywoman Weber decides that it is best to represent her constituents from an office 14 miles from the heart of her district, finding an office in downtown San Diego (an area she does not represent).

Breaking from the tradition of her predecessors who had offices in Lemon Grove, clearly, Ms. Weber is not interested in visits from those she represents.
