Pedestrian Fatally Struck By Trolley In Lemon Grove
The victim, described only as female, died at the scene, sheriff's Lt. Michelle Craig said.
LEMON GROVE, CA — A trolley struck and killed a pedestrian in Lemon Grove Wednesday afternoon.
The rail fatality occurred shortly after 3:30 p.m. near the intersection of Lemon Grove and Massachusetts avenues, according to sheriff's officials.
The victim, described only as female, died at the scene, Lt. Michelle Craig said.

The death led to a temporary suspension of light-rail service between the Encanto district of San Diego and Spring Street in La Mesa, according to the Metropolitan Transit System. The agency was providing buses to affected riders pending resumption of trolley runs in the area.
