San Diego Fleet Sign Former New York Giants Defensive End
Defensive end Damontre Moore, the New York Giants third-round choice in the 2013 NFL draft, was signed by the San Diego Fleet.

SAN DIEGO, CA – Defensive end Damontre Moore, the New York Giants third-round choice in the 2013 NFL draft, was signed by the San Diego Fleet of the Alliance of American Football Wednesday, along with receivers Shay Fields, Francis Owusu and Brian Brown.
Moore played 42 games for the Giants from 2013-15, making 66 tackles. He was released late in 2015 for violating team rules. He then finished out the season by playing three games with the Miami Dolphins.
The 6-foot-4-inch Moore played four games with the Seattle Seahawks in 2016, three with the Dallas Cowboys in 2017 and two with the Oakland Raiders in 2018.

Moore was a consensus first-team All-American as a Texas A&M junior in 2012, making 85 tackles and 12.5 sacks.
Fields completed his college career in 2017 third on Colorado's all- time list with 190 receptions and second in receiving yards with 2,552.

Fields played in the 2018 preseason with the Washington Redskins and was on the Denver Broncos practice squad in December.
Owusu is a Stanford alumnus who spent time on the Miami Dolphins practice squad in 2017 and 2018.
Brown averaged 79 catches per season in his last three seasons at Richmond. He was on the Dallas Cowboys practice squad in 2017 and the Detroit Lions practice squad in 2018.
The Fleet waived receivers Isaiah Burse, Wayne Capers Jr., Jordan Gandy, De'Quan Hampton and Derreus Rogers and offensive linemen Matt Cohen and Tylor King, reducing their roster to 72.
Burse and Capers were both injured.
The Fleet must reduce their roster to the 52-player regular-season limit by Jan. 30.
The Fleet will begin play Feb. 9 at San Antonio and play their first game at SDCCU Stadium Feb. 17 against Atlanta.
